Electric Bikes Electrical Bicycles (“E-Bikes”) are allowed to be operated within Shipyard on recreational paths if the E-Bike belongs to a Shipyard owner and has been registered with SPOA beginning on December 1st, 2023. Only Class 1 and Class 2 E-Bikes may be registered with SPOA and are allowed to be used within Shipyard. If an owner purchased a Class 3 E-Bike before December 1st , 2023, they will receive an exception and be grandfathered in. Pedal mode only is allowed within Shipyard, no exceptions will be made. Effective December 4, 2023, there will be two (2) important changes to the Shipyard Access Policy. The full access policy can be found on the website. 1. E-bikes belonging to Shipyard property owners are permitted within the community as long as they are registered with SPOA. Only Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes may be registered. Any Class 3 e-bikes purchased before December 1st, 2023 will be grandfathered in and have the ability to be registered with Shipyard.
