Allan H Staebler

December 19, 1933 – October 31, 2021

Allan H. Staebler, 87, of Menlo Park, NJ, formally of Hilton Head, SC and East Brunswick, NJ entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Allan was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Karl and Mary Rodgers Staebler and he was raised in Hackensack, NJ and lived in East Brunswick from 1959 to 2010 before moving to Hilton Head, SC.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War form 1955 to 1956 serving as an MP.

Allan was in the construction industry for over 50 years, most recently working for Gilbane Construction Management Co. in Rye, NY. He worked on many construction projects that he was proud of and like to speak about, the J&J Headquarters in NJ, Morristown Memorial Hospital in NJ and as a lifelong NY Giants fan one he was very excited and proud of, The Meadowlands Sport Complex.

Allan was also an avid golfer along with his wife Joan. They loved the game of golf and were longtime members of Battleground County Club in NJ and Shipyard Golf Club in Hilton Head, SC, where Allan was the President of the club for a few years. He passed this love of golf onto his children and grandchildren and would remind them all to “keep your head down and follow through”.

He was the beloved husband to the late Dorothy Joan Abraham Staebler who died in 2014. Loving father to Douglas Staebler and his wife Jocelyn, Steven Staebler, Laurie Zabel and her husband Mark and the late Craig Staebler. Cherished grandfather to Kellen Shine, Brandt Shine, Rachel Bellia, Cori Staebler, Nicholas Staebler and Joseph Staebler. Great-grand father to Colton Bellia.

In lieu of flowers donation to St. Jude Children’s Hospital www.stjude.org in his name would be appreciated.

Interment of cremains will held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11:30am in the Brig General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery.
