Overflow Beach Parking
Overflow Beach Parking If the Beach Club parking lot is full, there is overflow beach parking is located on the Port-O-Call & Barcelona road, WITHIN the white lines. We do anticipate a busy summer season, so please try to limit yourself and guests to 1 vehicle per family. If you do park in the overflow parking, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, there is a Beach Cart Shuttle that can pick you up and drop you off. The shuttle runs from 9:00am to 5:00pm, weather permitting. Please call us at 843-785-3310 ext. 1000 if you have any questions!
National Donut Day!
History: Each year on the first Friday in June, people celebrate National Doughnut or Donut Day. This day is actually in honor of the Salvation Army Lassies. The Salvation Army Lassies are the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during WWI. In 1917, the original “Salvation Army Doughnut” was first served by the ladies of the Salvation Army. Mating season is from late April to June. During this time, they are likely to wander through lagoons as they search for a mate. In the evening or through the nights, males “bellow” as he tries to attract a female. After a courtship in which the male claims a territory and courts a female, the female lays between 20-60 eggs near a body of fresh water and covers them with trees branches, leaves, and other vegetation. Summer Shipyard Reminders
Good afternoon Shipyard owners! We have had questions regarding the differences between a beach stamp and a beach hangtag. So here are a few points of clarification regarding the summer beach access program: Beach stamps and beach hangtags are two separate entities. Beach stamps are issued to renters and timeshare owners on one of their guest passes (example the Donald Duck Family has 2 vehicles = 1 beach stamp). There are no replacements for misplaced or missing beach stamps. Beach hangtags are issued to owners at a rate of 1 per property.
