We wanted to assure you that we are doing everything we can to keep the property operating as normally as possible, including ensuring that you and the staff stay safe. To reduce contact for the staff, contractors are being directed to the Dispatch/Visitor’s Lane, not the Welcome Center where we continue to have our core staff working. We are encouraging owners to refrain from coming to the Welcome Center unless there is an emergency, so please use the phone or email for questions or passes. Although South Carolina has no confirmed coronavirus cases yet, it’s understandable to worry if you or a loved one are showing symptoms. COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, appears with flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough and difficulty breathing. It has infected nearly 130 people in the United States and 93,000 people worldwide. More than 3,100 people have died. Annual Meeting Reminder 2020
The management team at Shipyard Property Owners’ Association is preparing for the Annual Meeting of the Association which will be held at the Sonesta Resort at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, March 10th. Please remember to return your proxy so we can be assured of a quorum. Also, use caution around the property as we do need paving work before the heavy traffic season arrives. Hilton Head Health has started construction of their new dorm so be careful as you round the bend towards Hamilton during this construction. See you on the 10th.
Cook-off 2020 Winners!
Thanks to everyone who came out for our Crockpot Cook-off Nibble & Nip. We had a great turnout with a plethora of entries to taste! We want to give a special congratulations to our winners for all their hard work. Jerry Rodriguez took home Chef’s Choice, Jeff Kramer won 1st place popular vote, JT Terleski won 2nd place, and Jenny Bullington took home 3rd place. Beach Club Facelift
If you have been inside of the Beach Club lately, you may have noticed that we have been busy with upgrades, which will continue through early March. The walls have been painted a lighter color, some of the interior furniture has been resurfaced and/or reupholstered, the deck chairs were replaced, shiplap was installed around the doors to the main room and in between the restrooms, and the bar area will be refurbished.
