Tropical Cyclone Idalia is forecast to intensify into a hurricane today as it slowly moves northward, passing between the Yucatan Peninsula and the western tip of Cuba. The current forecast highlights the increasingly likelihood of rapid intensification of the storm as it approaches Florida. On the current forecast track, Idalia would make landfall between Tampa and the Big Bend region of Florida Wednesday morning, possibly as a major hurricane. Courtesy of the National Weather Service – Charleston Tropical Storm Nicole is still expected to strengthen to hurricane strength as it approaches the east coast of Florida late Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Nicole is forecasted to remain a tropical storm as it moves across the southeast U.S. Thursday night and Friday. Congratulations Shipyard! We made it through the summer while posting the #9PM Routine! We are very appreciative of the positive response and engagement from our Shipyard community. Our goal, was to help everyone establish a nightly routine to remove valuables from their cars, lock their cars, turn on exterior lights and use any additional home security systems to secure their residences and property.
