The Town of Hilton Head will be meeting Shipyard owners on December 6th at the Shipyard Beach Club to meet about the new short-term rental ordinance. All commercial vehicles must have a daily pass or commercial decal. No visitors passes are allowed for commercial work. All commercial clients are required to purchase a Daily Pass or Annual Decal at the Welcome Center. Annual Decals must be adhered to the correct registered vehicle. Decal validation for 2023 starts on Monday, December 5th at 8:00am. If you do not wish to register any new vehicles, you do not need to bring anything besides your photo ID. If you intend to register a new vehicle, bring the applicable vehicle registration with you. DO NOT DISCARD YOUR CURRENT BEACH HANGTAG OR VEHICLE DECAL There is a fee of $25.00 for vehicle decal transfers or replacements. The Welcome Center only accepts cash, cashier’s check, money order, or Shipyard owner personal checks. Congrats to the annual Photography Contest winners! We had a fantastic turnout and had a blast looking at all of the entries. We were impressed by all of the great photos that were entered. A very special thanks to Mary Alice Tartler for teaching complimentary photography classes, judging the photos and sharing her feedback at the contest. All exterior work or alterations require ARB approval. This includes, but is not limited to, tree/branch removal, exterior painting, additions, pool installations, paving, and mailboxes. The complete list can be found on our website, shipyardhhi.com. Building or work permits must be displayed in an easily viewed location. Work cannot start until the permit is issued and picked-up.
