Mary Alice relocated from the DC Metropolitan area to Hilton Head Island after retiring from the U.S. Government just over 19 years ago. Upon retiring, she devoted her free time to improving her skills as a photographer, with an emphasis on the wildlife of the Lowcountry. Mary Alice has been the Shipyard photographer for the past 6 years, including photos for POA ads in local magazines (Hilton Head Monthly, Celebrate Hilton Head (CH2), and Local Life), as well as images for this newsletter. Important Reminders from the Welcome Center • WELCOME CENTER HOURS – Effective May 3rd, normal business hours resumed in the Welcome Center from 8am-4pm Monday through Friday and 8am-noon on weekends. A Message from our GM

Spring has sprung and so has our tourist population. Spring break brought some of the biggest crowds we have seen at this time of year, and we were able to squeak by with a tentative Town approval on the dune walkway and bathroom renovation in time for a ribbon cutting on March 25th. The cutting honor was a well-deserved combo of ARB Chairman Joe Strivieri and Chris Bracken the Sonesta  Director of Sales and Marketing who both helped with contract supervision and site logistics to make this project happen.  Owner Updates Courtesy of Your POA Management Team Please pick-up after your pets! We know that this has been mentioned before, but it continues to be a problem throughout the community. Get your waste bags from the Dogipot stations and dispose of used bags at home or in appropriate trash receptacles. Please do not litter the ground with them. Also, be good neighbors and refrain from walking pets on others’ property. We have had several questions regarding lagoon levels.
