Beach Parking
Beach Hangtags are now required for parking at the Beach Club or the overflow parking located on Barcelona Road (image below). If you rent your property, you can enroll in Shipyard’s Short-Term Rental Program. There is no enrollment fees and the program will allow your renters to park one vehicle at the beach parking using a stamp on their pass without the risk of them losing your beach hangtag. The sea turtle nesting season starts Today, May 1st! The Sea Turtle Patrol operate under a permit issued by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. This means they are the only ones permitted to mark nests, move nests, record and transmit data, and handle/supervise all sea turtle activities. The Turtle Trackers are a sister organization who educate island guests and often serve as “hosts” on the beach to visitors looking for more information.
