Mary Alice relocated from the DC Metropolitan area to Hilton Head Island after retiring from the U.S. Government just over 19 years ago. Upon retiring, she devoted her free time to improving her skills as a photographer, with an emphasis on the wildlife of the Lowcountry. Weekly Owner Updates 1/15/21 As we have advised in prior emails, please be aware that there have been attempted break-ins in automobiles and unlocked homes within Shipyard. Shipyard has access from the beach and across the golf course, so we are not able to secure the entire perimeter. We need you to make sure that you are not inviting theft by leaving cars or homes unsecured. Also, please notify security if you see suspicious activity. We are working with Beaufort County on these issues and reviewing camera footage for clues as to who might be the perpetrators. Annual Meeting Reminder 2020

The management team at Shipyard Property Owners’ Association is preparing for the Annual Meeting of the Association which will be held at the Sonesta Resort at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, March 10th.  Please remember to return your proxy so we can be assured of a quorum.  Also, use caution around the property as we do need paving work before the heavy traffic season arrives.  Hilton Head Health has started construction of their new dorm so be careful as you round the bend towards Hamilton during this construction. Beach Club Facelift

If you have been inside of the Beach Club lately, you may have noticed that we have been busy with upgrades, which will continue through early March.  The walls have been painted a lighter color, some of the interior furniture has been resurfaced and/or reupholstered, the deck chairs were replaced, shiplap was installed around the doors to the main room and in between the restrooms, and the bar area will be refurbished.  Also, you might have noticed some new accent pieces (rugs, lighting, and such) throughout.  We hope you like the refreshed look and we look forward to seeing you …

Congrats to the annual Photography Contest winners! We had a fantastic turnout and had a blast looking at all of the entries. We were impressed by all of the great photos that were entered.
