Hilton Head Island’s official beach season is April 1st through September 30th of each year. All of the beach is public, from the ocean to the high water mark. Access to the beach, however, is often private. Find more information at the Town of Hilton Head website. The Town provides beach access at the following locations: Alder Lane Burkes Beach Coligny Beach Driessen Beach Fish Haul Folly Field Islanders Beach NOT Allowed on the Beach, Dunes or Adjacent Waters Possession or consumption of alcohol, beer or wine Littering (items left overnight will be removed) Glassware (bottles, containers, etc.) Shovels, except those …

This year, the Hilton Head Sea Turtle Patrol reported nearly 46% fewer nests on Hilton Head Island beaches. They documented 291 nests for 2020 compared to 463 nests in 2019. They noted a 76% success rate with nest hatches. Unfortunately, 38 nests became misoriented due to violations with beachfront lighting. Beachfront lighting is an issue we are continuing to work on. Special Beach Access Update Courtesy of Your Management Team Thanks for all of your efforts regarding social distancing during these unprecedented times. For the most part, everything went quite well with our soft opening of the beach area. Accordingly, we are making additional changes regarding access and beach area amenities to make the beach experience even more convenient, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.
