Boat Safety 101
BOAT SAFETY CHECK LIST Ok it’s time to get the boat out – if you haven’t already! This is a good time to go over that check list of items you need to have on board to insure everyone’s safety! There needs to be a PFD (personal flotation device) for every person onboard your boat. PFDs must be approved by the Coast Guard. If your boat is 16 feet or over, you need to have a throwable PFD onboard and immediately available in case someone falls overboard. Every boat needs a working whistle or horn to make sound. HHI St. Patrick’s Day 2022
The 2022 St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set to happen on Sunday, March 13th from 3pm-6pm. Don’t miss this event, featuring marching bands, horse, dogs, floats, friends and fun! Entries – go all out to compete for awards! Volunteers needed and welcome. The parade will take place on Pope Avenue. The St. Patrick’s Day Boat Parade is set for Saturday, March 12th at 10am. Bring out the green, decorate your boat, and join us for a WATERFUL addition to the Hilton Head Ireland St. Patrick’s Parade Weekend of FUN! Town Hosting Meetings to Gather Public Input on Short-term Rentals Hilton Head Island, SC – The Town of Hilton Head Island will host several virtual public meetings to share information about the short-term rental initiative and to gather public input for development of solutions to address short-term rentals concerns. As of December 15, 2021: The Town of Hilton Head Island has launched an initiative to seek solutions and address concerns related to short-term rentals. “Short-term rentals have long been a part of the Island’s hospitality industry. We know residents have concerns about their growing numbers and the impacts they may have on adjacent properties and neighborhoods.
