Alligator Safety – Immediate Fishing Ban Many of you may already be aware, but there was a significant alligator incident last Thursday, June 22nd. No one was hurt, but it was definitely a close call when an alligator followed a gentleman who was fishing near the golf club. Immediately following the incident, our management team had K&K Wildlife come out to determine the best next steps. As a result, two alligators were immediately removed. Overflow Beach Parking

Overflow Beach Parking If the Beach Club parking lot is full, there is overflow beach parking is located on the Port-O-Call & Barcelona road, WITHIN the white lines. We do anticipate a busy summer season, so please try to limit yourself and guests to 1 vehicle per family. If you do park in the overflow parking, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, there is a Beach Cart Shuttle that can pick  you up and drop you off. The shuttle runs from 9:00am to 5:00pm, weather permitting. Please call us at 843-785-3310 ext. 1000 if  you have any questions!

Golfmaster/Harbourmaster

Golfmaster and Harbourmaster Starting on Monday, June 26th the Town will begin work to replace a pipe. The lagoon and water channel level at the control structure in Golfmaster and Harbourmaster will be adjusted for the duration of the project. The Harbourmaster entrance will be open one lane at a time, so we appreciate your patience. Please drive slowly and carefully through this area. The estimated time frame is about three weeks for the project. This of course is all pending weather conditions. We will keep you updated as we get closer in case anything changes. Thank you.

Beach Parking

Beach Hangtags are now required for parking at the Beach Club or the overflow parking located on Barcelona Road (image below). If you rent your property, you can enroll in Shipyard’s Short-Term Rental Program. There is no enrollment fees and the program will allow your renters to park one vehicle at the beach parking using a stamp on their pass without the risk of them losing your beach hangtag.
