As the weather starts to warm up, many people start working outside in their yards or taking long walks through the woods and trails. Keep an eye on the ground though, because our scaled neighbors could be hiding. Within South Carolina there are a total of 38 snake species, but only 6 are venomous. Here is an easy way to identify snakes and the best advice to not get bitten? LEAVE THEM ALONE.

Within Shipyard we have a program called N-Touch. N-Touch is a program designed to ensure that there is a constant circle of caring here in Shipyard. All you have to do is submit a form (located online or at the Welcome Center), and a member of the POA staff will contact you based on your preferences. Short Term Town Initiative

Town Hosting Meetings to Gather Public Input on Short-term Rentals Hilton Head Island, SC – The Town of Hilton Head Island will host several virtual public meetings to share information about the short-term rental initiative and to gather public input for development of solutions to address short-term rentals concerns. COVID-19 Testing

S.C. DHEC COVID-19 Testing on Hilton Head Island Moved to Crossings Park Starting Monday, January 17, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) will relocate its free COVID-19 testing from Fire Station 4 on Squire Pope Road to Crossings Park, 4 Haig Point Circle on Hilton Head Island. DHEC’s drive-thru testing will take place only on Mondays between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Those interested in being tested should enter Crossings Park at Haig Point Circle and follow the signs to the soccer field, where DHEC staff will administer the PCR (nasal swab) test.
